When the airline ceased operations in 1982, the aircraft went to British Caledonian as G-BJZD, then British Caledonian Charter, BCA Charter, Cal Air and Novair. The aircraft started its career with Eastern Airlines in January 1962 and went on to Germany’s Calair as D-ADIR in December 1970. Ambassadair‘s Boeing 720 N8711E with additional "United States of America" titles stayed at Riem from 24 to 27 April 1978, parked out in the "Westpilz" area.
